PAYLOAD CAPACITY

Although this guide offers valuable information on how much you can tow with the 2019 F150, it is essential to estimate your towing capacity. There’s no way to determine if Ford provides the payload capacity for the new F150. The most reliable method to determine the capacity of the payload is to look up the GVWR stated on the certification label that appears at the bottom of the driver’s door (see the image at the top of this article).

The total payload capacity for the new F150 is 3,270 pounds. However, Ford does not provide a specific list of their models, and their equipment can support this amount.

There is some information regarding the maximum weight of the cargo (or the maximum payload capacity) of F150 vehicles that have the Heavy-Duty Payment Package (see the table below).

It is only available on this model. 3.5 L EcoBoost and 5.0 L V8 engine.

Not sure how? Check out: How is Towing Capacity Calculated? Here, you will have a calculator that can be helpful and a helpful guide.

You’ll need to use the GCWR that must be appropriately listed here. However, you must be sure to check this manual before making a decision. Make a decision.

REAR STEP BUMPER TOWING VS HITCH RECEIVER TOWING

However, even if you have a hitch receiver, this does not mean that you can tow the capacities listed above. You first need a proper hitch receiver (Class III, Class IV), and a weight-distributing trailer hitch if towing above 5,000 lbs.

You can, however, tow with the 2019 F150 through a step bumper ball hitch. This can hold up to 5,000 lbs (with a weight-carrying trailer).

In either case with a weight-carrying trailer or weight-distributing trailer, the tongue weight should not exceed 10% of the total trailer weight (according to the Trailer Tow Guide).
