Ford mustang mach-e towing capacity: The Mustang Mach-E will undergo a number of modifications, according to Ford, including an increase in the electric SUV’s towing capability and charge rates.
Ford claims in a news statement aimed at the European market that the Ford mustang mach-e towing capacity is 1,000kg today (2,205lbs). That will be sufficient to tow “a typical small or average-sized fiberglass fishing boat,” the company claims.
The extended range vehicles with rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive are eligible for the higher towing capacity, but only in Europe. The Mach-E in North America is still not approved for towing at this time.
A better charging curve has also been added to the Mach-E. Instead of the previous 52 minutes, the electric SUV can now charge from 80% to 90% in just 15 minutes.
“The towing upgrade for Mustang Mach-E is one of a number of free updates we’re continuing to make in hardware and software or through homologation to give owners the best experience possible,” said This Woelpern, general manager, Imports, Ford of Europe. “With towing in particular, it was a great example of us responding to customer queries, where we checked the feasibility of an increase and were able to deliver what they wanted.”

How efficient is the Mach-E?
The range of the Premium variants with extended range is roughly 300 miles. This distance was decreased to about 270 miles by adding AWD. Additionally, the Mustang Mach-E GT has a range of roughly 270 miles. The Telsa Model Y has a range of up to 363 miles for the purposes of comparison.
A connector for mobile charging at 120 volts is included with the Mach-E. It can be plugged into a standard household socket. Additionally, the charging port for the Mach-E is situated in front of the driver’s side. This process charges three miles each hour and takes 95 hours to fully recharge.
You can invest in a more potent 240-volt mobile charger that can refuel at a rate of about 20 miles per hour. A dryer or refrigerator can be plugged into a larger outlet called a 240 plug. With a splitter, you can continue to use your appliance while charging the Mach-E.
Ford does not explicitly convey the new charging curve either, but the end consequence is the same: the charging time from 80 to 90 percent will now take 15 minutes instead of the previous 52 minutes, a 37-minute reduction. The maximum DC charging power of 150 kW is unaffected, though.
Which 2021 Mach-E trim is best?
The Select, Premium, California Route 1, and GT are the four trim options available for the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E. When used in conjunction with the extended-range battery, the Mach-E Premium is thought to be a well-rounded choice.
